Students in grades nine through twelve use the Nolan Catholic High  School Library,  home to over 23,000 books, current periodicals, videos, DVDs, CDs, and various specialized electronic databases. Our library encourages lifelong learning while teaching informational literacy, as well as preparing students  for the global community.

Library hours

The Library is open to students and faculty every weekday from 7:15 am until 4:00 pm during regular school days. Library Catalog

The Nolan Catholic High School library's online publicly accessible catalog of holdings (OPAC) is available 24/7 via the Internet. 

 

  Electronic databases

 In order to access these tools remotely, users must obtain user identification and passwords from the library staff.  Students, families, faculty and staff are encouraged to make use of these valuable resources remotely, as well as when on the Nolan campus.  N.C.H.S. library currently subscribes to the following electronic databases:

The library maintains a departmental webliography of suggested links for students' use.

The library also maintains a page of electronic texts developed specifically per instructor and grade level for students of the Nolan English department.

The Nolan library provides information regarding current, popular news sources and search engines. Students are encouraged to use a variety of sources, both print and electronic, when completing research assignments.

Each year the Nolan library assists the English department in producing the Summer reading page.

 

  MLA guide

Throughout the school year, the library provides link(s) to the most current MLA style guide(s) to students via the library web page. This is in addition to the hard copy available when visiting the Nolan library.
